Another year has gone by, and this year FOUR Caesar lab students graduated!! A huge congratulations to Shyleigh, Lyn, Elijah, and Frances, class of 2025!!

Shyleigh is off to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor to pursue a PhD in chemistry! She plans to pursue a focus in environmental and analytical chemistry, and hopes to become a professor and/or work in the government sector in environmental protection. Such an important field, especially in this political climate!

Lyn is also off to graduate school at VCU in Richmond, where she plans to do the Masters to PhD program. We've got a big cohort of JMU alumni at VCU, so hopefully she will get to have some fun reunions with fellow Dukes!

Elijah has taken a quick jump "across the pond" to England, where he is starting his life as a married man with his lovely wife Aubrie!! He is hoping to work in industry--with his Visa secured, he's now applying for jobs in Birmingham.

Last but not least, Frances! I thankfully don't have to say goodbye just yet, as Frances is working part time in the lab this summer to hopefully finish up her research project. As per usual, she's such a trooper, handing some challenging research setbacks with determination and good humor. We are going to get there! She's then pursuing a career in industry, specifically in analytical chemistry.

Congrats y'all! I'm so proud of you!! I will miss you so much, but I'm so excited to see what you do next! You have forever left your mark on our little lab space :)

The Caesar Lab Family Tree, now growing in size. It's very special to see students connected to their student mentors who trained them! Can't wait to watch this family grow :)
